How Can severe Headache Along With Congestion Be Treated?

I got a headache about three weeks ago, along with congestion and other typical symptoms going around the school where I work. It went away within a few days, then I developed laryngitis and a rough throat. No voice for two days, then it started to slowly return. My voice is sort of back a week and a half later, but not quite, and my throat is scratchy. Now, the back of my neck hurts. It feels like some neck glands could be quite swollen. Do I wait it out, or is there some medication that would help move me past this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
The infection in your sinuses is the reason for your headache and which eventually lead to your laryngitis and rough throat. Any infection in head, neck, and throat may lead to swelling of neck glands. This swelling would resolve spontaneously after you use the medication.

With such presentations in my clinic I treat with anti congestants (phenylephrine) along with Augmentin 650mg twice daily and Rantidine 150mg twice daily for 5 days. Gargling with warm water with little bit of salt would give you immediate relief from rough throat. Work with your primary care Doctor to achieve these.

Please let me know if you have further questions before meeting your primary care Doctor.
